Survey AQM #1
Here are the results of the first survey of AQM course. It took place on Feb 26. There were 36 participants. Main numbers are as follows:
Mark lectures: 7.4 Mark PPS: 6.7 Overall mark: 7.3
Better than last year. Still lack of PPS appreciation.
Other interesting numbers:(range -2:2 except the marks)
In my opinion, the content of this course is relevant to my education (range -2:2) – 1.4 Not bad.
This course corresponds well to my prior knowledge– 0.9 Coul be better
In relation to the amount of credit points, the actual study load of this course was too big – 0.14 Very good.
The teaching methods used for this course are appropriate – 0.75 Could be better
The lecturer explains the subject matter clearly – 0.75 Could be better
The lecturer discuss the subject matter in a stimulating way. – 0.85 Ok
The instructors give sufficient feedback on student presentations – 0.75 ok.
The problem-solving sessions are interesting and useful – 1.4 Not bad.
English mark for the teacher: 7.1
English mark for the instructors: 7.8
Most students think that
– The lecturer should present the material with more examples
– The problem-solving sessions should be slower
This course is well organised: 1.3 Fine.
75% of students will undoubtedly go on with the course and come to the examination
What mark do you expect to get at the exam? 7.3 Not bad!
45% use the book regularly – too little!
In general: survey ok. We need to do more with PPS.

I really quite like the corse so far
The lecturer should go over simple subjects quicker in the lectrure, so that there is more time for the concepts which are harder to gasp
more time for student presentations by less feedback during the presentation, since this is not relevant for other students. Lectures: less time for simple repetitions, more time for difficult subjects.
More examples.
The start of the lectures can be a bit faster. Now it takes a long time before we start with actual material.

Spend less time on introduction.
Student presentations quicker online. Must be nor only powerpoint. More background.
Questions in pps should be about last week lecture.
Presentations during pps are hard to understand. The presentators probably do not fully understand themselves.

It’s great to find an expert who can explain things so well
I guess it comes down to publicising widely in the party what exactly those ‘many checks and balances’ are? I for one am not clear what they are. Everyone will then understand what leeway they have re policy implementation.
