Quantum NanoScience

rules and ,as rumour has, will become an official name of our department from January 1st. In principle, I like the name: it adequately reflects ambitions, arrogance and to put it frankly, certain callowness of our team. My only concern is that this name would provoke jokes. If you think you can make a good joke using this name, please do not hesitate to put it here as a comment: I am sure we can find means to award the winner!

P.S. [a flavouring addition]

To make the joke from my previous comment appeal more, you should start with a question (QN= Quantum nanoscientist, P=random Person who is interested in nanoscience)

QN: “P, do you like nanoscience?”
P: “yes”
QN: “Do you like eating your favourite pie?”
P: “yes”
QN: “So let’s say nanoscience is like eating your favourite pie…..
Eat the whole pie and you’ll be left with a bad feeling,
eat only a part of the pie and your day has just gotten better.
A part is a quantum, nanoscience is eating
quantum nanosicence, and your day has just gotten better.

Well Yuli,
A joke hasn’t come to mind yet, but a slogan has:

“On your birthday you wake up and see your favourite pie in enormous proportion.

Nanoscience is like eating from your favourite pie.
Eat the whole pie and you’ll be left with a bad feeling,
eat only a part of the pie and your day has just gotten better.
a part is a quantum, nanoscience is eating
quantum nanosicence, and your day has just gotten better.”

or

“Is Quantum Not No science?
It’s Quantum NaNoscience.”

However, if you are looking for a slogan or joke which is grammatically correct not only by Slang grammar, we should keep on looking. In any case – not only the best jokes can make a day more interesting.

Happy holidays,

Willem
